A working artist and teacher making clay feel approachable.

I came to clay with a simple belief: the best things are made by hand and shared with others. I'm Ashlee Springer, a small batch potter based in Downtown Elizabethton, Tennessee, creating naturally tactile functional pottery inspired in Southern Appalachia. My studio mission is to be a place where craftsmanship, clay, and community come together. This philosophy shapes every class at Made on Elk, where students of all levels are welcomed to explore the clay with curiosity over perfection.
